Ans: In chemistry, we say that physical changes occur when shape and size changes and no new substance is formed during this whole process. For example, when you cut vegetables you just change its shape and size. Secondly, no new substance is formed during cutting of vegetables. So this is known as physical change. Other examples of physical changes are melting, boiling, freezing, etc. Q: Define chemical changes? Ans: In chemistry, we say that a process in which you get something new or a new substance is formed. We say that chemical changes have occurred. For example,  when we burn wood, it converts into ashes. This is an example of chemical changes.
