Righteous cop Glenn Ford is assigned to investigate the apparent self inflicted death of a fellow cop. As he follows every lead which sends him into the heart of a crime syndicate he is met with much resistance from within the department. Refusing to stop asking questions he takes it upon himself to go to the house of the known head of the crime ring. This prompts an act of revenge on him that makes him relentless to get to the bottom of just how far the ties between the crime ring and his police department extend.
