ENGINE OIL FILTER is a very important component of ENGINE LUBRICATION SYSTEM.With the help of OIL FILTER a LUBRICANT is cleaned before sending to different PARTS OF ENGINE for LUBRICATION.OIL FILTER is situated between OIL PUMP and MAIN OIL GALLARY. following are main parts of OIL FILTER: • FILTER ELEMENTS, • CONTAINER, • CENTER TUBE, • END PLATES, • BASE PLATES etc. Filter Element is a most important component of oil filter because it allows the oil to pass from it,but stops the dirt particles. FILTER ELEMENT is made of FELT,CLOTH and PAPER. Basically there are two types of arrangement of oil filter are used in lubrication system 1. bypass type oil filter system and 2. full flow oil filter system Following are the main types of oil filter: ✓Replaceable(use and throw) oil filter and ✓Cleanable filter Cleanable filter can be reused after cleaning. Replaceable filter can be replaced after some defined period of time and a new filter can be used in place of old oil filter. Cloth type filter, edge type filter, wire gauge type filter and centrifugal filter are the types of cleanable filters. In this video we are discussing these all points in detail.
