» New Industry 4.0 system for the vocational college Uerdingen in Krefeld (Germany) | Success Stories « Lucas-Nülle equipped the vocational college with a didactically designed smart factory model system on which the vocational students can carry out and learn all processes from programming and control to troubleshooting in a realistic and practical way. ⁕ Almost 100 teachers teach around 2,600 students at the Uerdingen vocational college in Krefeld. With its focus on technology and natural sciences, the vocational college has been recognized as a STEM-friendly school for the fifth time. ⁕ The aim of the project was to work with 24 students in parallel on 12 cyber-physical transfer systems in the basic area, which will then be expanded step by step to include various processing stations up to a high-bay warehouse and Industry 4.0 functionalities. ⁕ To enable each student to design an entire system, 24 IMS Virtual licenses are also used for 3D simulation and control of different systems. ⁕ Thanks to its modular structure, the system covers different levels of knowledge and can be used from the first to the fourth year of training. 🧑🏽 "Mr. Kohlen and I have planned an Industry 4.0 system that will accompany the trainees throughout their entire apprenticeship.
