Only recently I got my first pocket knife with a SE edge - the Spyderco Pacific in H1 steel. I was really curios as to how such a blade will cut and I was pretty pleasantly surprised. But since I really like to experiment I decided to give it a different edge geometry (a process that apparently is often called 'reprofiling' in the pocket knife community). In this video I describe how I am progressing. I will later add videos of the finished knife and after that some cutting too. Here you can see how the knife performed out of the box: • Part 0: Brand new Spyderco Pacific 2 ... The tools I am using in this video are: Spyderco sharpmaker A 'custom' fine angle adjustment I did for the Sharpmaker (ghetto version) 150 mm / 6" Venev 100% 100/80 mcm (JIS 150 grit) diamond stone designed for Edge Pro Planned angle progression: 12°, 15°, 17° and then micro-bevel at 20°.
