Here's part of a run of about 1 1/2 hours or so of the first "production" model of our 7 machine run of George Adams' Charcoal Gasifier design using a castable refractory grate system. Here we are supplying fuel to a 4 KW Onan 2 cylinder CCK generator set. All of the time we had a load of 1500 watts from a milkhouse heater on it and about 1/3 of the time we had an additional 750 watts from an electric hot plate. The only reason that we took the hot plate off was that the temperature on the surface of the reactor went from about 450 degrees F to about 550 degrees F and we wanted to keep things a little cooler. The ambient temperature during this test was about 40 degrees F.
