The Notebook (2004) actress Gena Rowlands may resemble Patrick Swayze or Rachel Griffiths & another actor, actress or group from some movie, TV series, etc.. I was not quite sure of. My guess: Martha Plimpton. For Robert Altman's comedy The Player (1992) Swayze & Plimpton filmed cameo scenes cut from the final film. Connections: Geena Rowlands & Martha Plimpton were together in Woody Allen's Another Woman (1988). Son, actor and director Nick Cassavetes was in the sci-fi racing film The Wraith (1986) along with Charlie Sheen, who was in-turn in Red Dawn with Patrick Swayze in 1984. For Dune (1984) Swayze was reportedly considered for the roles of Glossu "The Beast" Rabban & Feyd-Rautha. Gena Rowlands was considered to play Lady Jessica, Francesca Annis eventually was cast in this role. Swayze was in 1989 action film Road House, in 2015 Variety reported Nick Cassavetes was to write and direct a reboot of this with Ronda Rousey. This project was not made, but Road House was eventually remade in 2024 with Jake Gyllenhaal and MMA fighter Conor McGregor. Nick Cassavetes was a writer on Blow in 2001, this starred Johnny Depp, Penlope Cruz & Rachel Griffiths.
