But he was no joke on the court. He had all the pressure in the world playing for the Showtime Los Angeles Lakers as the replacement for Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, yet he developed a connection with Magic Johnson and it seemed the Lakers would continue contending, until Magic Johnson's retirement in 1991, but he would stay with the Lakers for years as one of the league's most underrated players before later being included in the now notorious trade which saw Charlotte trade Kobe Bryant to the Los Angeles Lakers, but Divac still helped the Hornets to two of their best seasons in Franchise history, but perhaps the years he's best remembered, came after he turned 30, as he would join Stojakovic, Chris Webber, Mike Bibby and Doug Christie in Sacramento as a key member of the 2002 Kings team who pushed the Shaq and Kobe led Lakers to 7, before spending years in a front office role.
