Preparing for Graduation

Once I select a family for my kitten(s), I customize their training. If they’ll be flying, I take them out more to help them get comfortable being outside. I get them used to the type of carrier they’ll travel in and introduce them to the loud noises and movements they might experience at the airport and on the plane. I switch their harnesses to more secure ones for the security check and schedule one last vet visit before they leave our kitten school. Because my foster kittens are used to being around different personalities, sizes, and temperaments, it usually makes the transition to a new home much easier. I also try to place them with families who already have friendly furry companions. Peanut will soon have his own forever friends.
