Fox By Katie Louisa Morgan, Directed by Lisa Cagnacci 24 Nov – 5 Dec 2025 They call me Mum. Everyone calls me Mum now. Or Mummy. I had a name before. Where did that go? In a flat in East London, a new mother is awake all night with her baby. As she grapples with her new identity and conflicting feelings of care and fear, a homeless man sits down on the wall outside… and doesn’t leave. Both are in need of help but who will be saved? Inspired by true events, Fox is a brutally honest and insightful exploration of new motherhood in an increasingly isolating society. A sharply observed drama that examines our complex relationship with ‘help’ – our desire to give it, and the need to seek it for ourselves. This “small but perfectly formed” play (Telegraph) is “a brave, eye-opening show” (WhatsOnStage). First produced at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Fox was praised for being a “poignant and insightful piece” (Three Weeks) and “deep, mature, and nuanced. A must-see.” (Feminist Fringe). Directed by Offie Award nominee Lisa Cagnacci, Fox is “a compelling monologue [which] rings relatably true to life” (Telegraph). Parent & Baby Performances Available These performances are specifically for grown ups to bring along their non-walking babies. There will be a baby friendly set up for seating and it’ll be a relaxed performance so you can care for all your baby’s needs during the show. The content of the show is for adults so the performance is not suitable for babies over 12 months. Supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England. Carbon Theatre & Becky Barber in association with Park Theatre. Video created by Chewboy Productions.
