A former newspaper Journalist, Ailsa moved into public relations and worked as a press officer for the British Government. During her time in the Royal Household she worked on two Jubilees, the wedding of the current Prince and Princess of Wales, and the birth of Prince George. She was awarded the Royal Victorian Order in 2011 for her services to the Royal Household.
