A few days back I installed a Beitian BN-180 GLONASS+GPS into Black Betty with a view to getting GPS rescue up and running. Have to say it worked a treat under testing, so with our buddy Bonkas coming to visit us for the long weekend, the Welly lads decided to try out some long range flying. Here's how it went! The GPS was a WICKED addition to my kit and basically a solid insurance policy that would allow Betty to come back to me even if my radio or video link were severed.
