3D Printed End Of Arm Tool for Injection Molding Machine Robot

Forerunner 3D Printing had our customer Reeves Plastics come to us with a request to design an end of arm tool (EOAT) for one of there injection mold press tending robots that could pick 3 different versions of a part with one EOAT. We kicked the project over to our in-house machine designers at DeWys Engineering and they cooked up a EOAT design that would not only be able to pick all 3 versions of the part with a single EOAT but one that would also de-gate the parts and retain the runner system so it could be dropped into a grinder after it was separated from the parts.
