In August 2023 I visited Norfolk Island and was just blown away by the beauty, and the small town feel, of the place. This is Part 1 of a two-part series. In this one I focus on the community, the vistas and environment, some political issues about sovereignty, and the cows. Part 2 will focus on the experiences of my great-great-great-grandfather James Harrison, who spent five years out of his seventeen years as a convict on the hell on earth that was Norfolk Island.
