La Cumbre Brewing Co. Project Dank, Winter 2020 (Albuquerque, NM, USA): "Releases from our hop laboratory. Project Dank is just that; a project. It’s an ever changing expression of our hoppiest endeavors. Each recipe is different, featuring different hops and hopping techniques. One thing will remain common…HOP INSANITY." This beer won the 2013 GABF Bronze Medal for American-style IPA. 7.5% Alc/vol, "A LOT" of IBUs. See https://www.lacumbrebrewing.com/#Proj... for more. About the brewery: La Cumbre Brewing Co. has been making beers since 2010 in Albuquerque's industrial district just off Interstate-25. They are particularly renowned for their IPAs, of which their flagship Elevated IPA and the seasonal Project Dank are especially favored. In addition to their IPAs, they brew many styles of delicious beer and have frequent special releases, of which my favorites include La Negra barrel-aged Imperial Stout and Fievre d'Abricot apricot saison. Get their beer on tap at their Girard location or at their Westside taproom, or buy their products in most supermarkets, liquor stores, or convenience stores in New Mexico. Recently, they have started distributing to Arizona, Colorado, and some parts of Texas, so check their website to see if you are lucky enough to have them near you. "New Mexico Beers at their Peak".
