A three-bedroom home in Shortlands, southeast London, featuring a WW2 air raid shelter converted into a wine bunker, has been listed for £995,000. Owner Mike Hemmings, 47, spent four years restoring the Wilmot shelter, cleaning it, installing power, and turning it into a cellar after initially using it as a cinema. The property also includes large gardens with an orchard, a cabin, a summer house, and a greenhouse-style garden room. Mike is selling the home to downsize but says the bunker and grounds are “a lovely bit of history” and a unique feature.
