Hello Everyone!! I hope you enjoy this video about how I made an 1930's style dress inspired by the American Girl Doll Ruthie Smithens. Ruthie Smithens is the best friend to Kit Kitteridge whose story is set in the 1930's. The Ruthie doll was released in 2008 in conjunction with the release of the movie Kit Kitteridge: An American Girl Adventure. The only American Girl movie to be released to theaters. Oh all the American Girl Dolls, I think I am most like Ruthie Smithens based off of looks, family circumstances, and personality. What American Girl Doll are you most like? This dress is my 1st venture into 1930's fashion and I must say, while I was skeptical if I would like it at 1st, I do really love the 1930's silhouette. I think it suits me well.
