One year ago, I got my very first dunk on a 9’9” rim—a tip-in that barely counted. Fast forward exactly one year later, and the progress is unreal. In this dunk session, I returned to that same 9’9” hoop to see how far I’ve come. Instead of just scraping the rim, I’m throwing down clean dunks, crushing windmills, and even getting close to a between-the-legs dunk. This wasn’t easy. Over the past year, I committed to consistent training, strength work, and refining my technique. My vertical jump went from 35.5 inches to an official 40 inches. In the weight room, my power clean increased from 155 lbs to 205 lbs, and my deep back squat went from 225 lbs to 275 lbs. At 5’8” and 148 lbs, that’s a huge jump in relative strength and athleticism, and it all translated to massive gains on the court. This video is more than just a dunk session—it’s proof of what happens when you stay disciplined and put in the work for a full year. If you’re an undersized hooper, athlete, or anyone chasing a dream, this should motivate you to keep going. Stick around to see the before-and-after difference, how far my dunks have come, and why consistent training pays off.
