In this episode, I embark on two long trips with my large format camera, capturing the beauty of abandoned places on film. My first stop is the Castle of Vila Verde dos Francos, a set of haunting ruins that tell the story of a forgotten past. Then, I travel deep into Alentejo, near Montemor, to explore an abandoned chapel lost to time. Throughout the journey, I take you through the entire process of a large format photography adventure—from preparing my gear and charging my electric car to loading film holders and selecting the perfect lens. I also showcase my collection of large format lenses and discuss the films I use, including ADOX, Ilford, and Foma. Beyond photography, I also talk about my work in animal rescue, an important part of my life that I balance alongside my creative passion. Join me in this immersive experience as I bring these forgotten places back to life through the art of film photography. 🔔 Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more adventures in large format photography! 0:00 The Art of slow photography 01:00 Easy access to the Castle 02:50 Animal rescue 03:36 Choosing film 04:40 Why my bag weights 2 tons 06:00 Loading 4x5 backs 07:50 Departing the following day 09:30 The church 15:41 Ending #LargeFormatPhotography #FilmPhotography #AbandonedPlaces #UrbanExploration #PhotographyAdventure #AnalogPhotography #4x5Film #MediumFormat #FilmIsNotDead #ClassicCameras #IlfordFilm #FomaFilm #ADOXFilm #ExploringAbandoned #HistoricalRuins #PhotographyJourney #Darkroom #SlowPhotography #ForgottenPlaces #PortugalPhotography #FilmDeveloping #PhotographyProcess #ElectricCar #PhotographersLife #TravelPhotography #LostPlaces #HistoricalPhotography #FineArtPhotography #CreativePhotography #VintageLenses #LargeFormatLenses #CameraGear #ExplorationPhotography #NaturePhotography #BlackAndWhiteFilm #FilmCommunity #OldBuildings #PhotographyTips #Photowalk #TravelVlog #PhotographerAtWork #PhotographySkills #DocumentaryPhotography #35mmFilm #120Film #AlternativePhotography #ArchitecturePhotography #HistoryLover #AdventurePhotography #PortugalTravel #FilmShooter #PhotographyPassion #portugal #alentejo #montemor #montemor-o-novo #abandonados #urbex #ermida #grandeformato
