Car Builder & Owner - BYP Racing and Development Car - 2001 Honda Integra DC2R Driver - Benny Tran Track - Winton Raceway Event - H Nationals 2022 Date - 25.9.22 Time - 1:22.0 Its been 5 years since our last visit to Winton Raceway with the Time Attack DC2R. Perfect opportunity to try better our old personal best time of 1:23.5 done back in 2016 We used the Exe Crew track day on Saturday to shakedown the car and do basic set-up but suffered a set back when the Rotrex C38R supercharger broke on the second session. Luckily we keep the old Rotrex C38-92 supercharger that was used on the car since 2016 in the track support van. Unfortunately we had prep the supercharger for lower boost as a back up unit for Project DC2R but its was better to have some kind of boost than nothing. We used the afternoon session to trim the tune to smaller supercharger and boost levels in preparation for H National competition the next day Sunday morning weather was close to perfect and the team got the car ready to have a crack of the lap time. On the second session, Benny managed to a new pb time of 1:22.0, resetting the Fastest FWD lap time at Winton Raceway We waited for the last session as the sun came down in the afternoon and give it a crack for the 1:21. The car was up on predicted with a 1:21.7 at the boobs, unfortunately Benny got on the power a little to early and rode the ripple strip on corner exit and put two wheels on the dirty and then subsequently lose drive Nonetheless, it was a positive result for the BYP Racing team. We have made small changes to the car since WTAC 2022 with positive feedback and looking forward to getting back out to SMSP to validate the changes
