When The Helper Comes - John 16:1-15

This week we are on location! In John 16:1–15, Jesus prepares His disciples for His departure and explains why it is not a loss, but a gift. He promises the coming of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, who will guide believers, convict the world, glorify Christ, and reveal what God has spoken. Yet the disciples are filled with sorrow because they are still thinking in earthly terms rather than seeing Christ’s redemptive mission. In this study, we explore why Jesus said, “None of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’” even though they had asked before, and how this reveals the difference between self-focused questions and God-centered faith. This passage calls us to trust Jesus even when His plan confuses us, and to embrace the Spirit’s work of leading us into true truth — reality as God defines it, not as we feel it. Join us as we walk verse-by-verse through this powerful moment in the Upper Room discourse and learn what it means to follow Christ in the truth and power of the Spirit.
