In this lecture we solve 5 classic problems on equations of motion — each one teaching a key technique used repeatedly in JEE and CBSE exams. 🔹 Problem 1 — Velocity at midpoint of a journey Particle from A to B with velocities v₁ and v₂. Find velocity at midpoint C. Result: vC = √((v₁²+v₂²)/2) — the RMS, not the arithmetic mean! 🔹 Problem 2 — Man loses 20% velocity (braking proof) Given 20% speed loss in 108 m. Prove he cannot run more than 192 m further. Technique: segment method + elegant u² cancellation. 🔹 Problem 3 — Two trains overtaking Train P accelerates, train Q is uniform. Find initial gap. Technique: relative displacement + accounting for train lengths. 🔹 Problem 4 — nth second trap (deceleration problem) u = 5 m/s, a = -2 m/s². Find distance in 2nd and 3rd seconds. Trap: turning point at t = 2.5 s is inside the 3rd second — formula fails! 🔹 Problem 5 — Car race: prove v = √(a₁a₂)·t Both cars start from rest, same distance. One finishes t seconds earlier. Technique: write 4 equations, subtract, divide — √2s cancels cleanly. ✅ CBSE Class 11 | JEE Main | Kinematics 📌 TIMESTAMPS: 0:00 — Problem 1: midpoint velocity 5:00 — Problem 2: braking proof 10:00 — Problem 3: two trains 15:00 — Problem 4: nth second trap 20:00 — Problem 5: car race proof 23:00 — Techniques summary + Practice 🔔 Subscribe | 👍 Like | Share #KinematicsProblems #JEEPhysics #suvat #NthSecond #CBSE11 #DrKedarPathak #BrakingDistance #TrainProblem #UniformAcceleration #JEEMain2026
