Guiding Light June 20 2001, News of Richard's 'death' spreads; Beth discovers Edmund's duplicity

Recap from CBS.com Josh tells Reva that Richard was killed. Olivia looks on and notices the strong bond Josh and Reva still have. Olivia maintains that she believes that Edmund does not know where Cassie is and she and Reva clash over the issue. Eventually, Olivia agrees to look into the matter and try and get information on Cassie's whereabouts. Josh sees how distraught Reva and Marah are and wants to be there for them. In San Cristobel, Edmund is terrified that he may have killed Cassie by overdosing her with the sedative. Beth is horrified and snaps when she realizes that Edmund has been keeping Cassie prisoner in the tower. Edmund, at a loss as to how to handle the situation, locks Beth in the tower and carries Cassie's lifeless body back to the palace. Cassie, much to Edmund's relief, finally comes to and lashes out at Edmund for Richard's death. Edmund threatens her to cooperate with him or next time he won't try and revive her. Edmund tries to make a deal with Cassie that he'll leave her alone forever if she leaves San Cristobel. Lizzie sees Cassie collapse in exhaustion and asks Edmund what is wrong with her. Edmund tries to reassure her not to worry, everything will be all right. Meanwhile, Beth, locked in the tower, sees the note that Cassie wrote that says that Edmund killed her. Edmund goes back to the tower and finds Beth hysterical. He tries to explain his actions and assure her that Cassie is alive, but Beth won't believe him and he leaves her locked in the tower.
