For 21 years, the students of Kola Shele Primary School in Ethiopia struggled without a reliable water supply. Over 2,700 children faced daily challenges with hygiene, increasing their risk of waterborne diseases and other preventable health issues. Water is more than just a resource—it is a necessity for life and health. That is why NALA’s WASH on Wheels mobile repair team arrived on-site, fully equipped with specialized tools, expert technicians, and a mission to restore clean water access. What We Did: Repaired and restored the school’s water system in just one day Established a WASH Club to teach students and teachers proper hygiene practices Trained local WASH Fellows to ensure long-term water system maintenance Engaged school staff, local authorities, and the community for a sustainable impact The Impact: 250+ schools restored since May 2022 170,000+ children now have access to clean water For every $1 invested, a child gets 400 days of safe water
