Capt Dan PCT 2015 VLOG #25- Day 39, Crossing the Mojave Desert

Crossing the Mojave Desert is one of those significant moments you read about when researching the PCT. like crossing Forester Pass or the Bridge of the Gods. I got up extra early that morning in an effort to beat the heat. Fortunately, you just cross the extreme northwest corner of the desert and not the entire thing. You can cross it in one day, and it doesn't really look all that deserty (if that's a word) because there's Joshua trees and lots of scrub brush. Walking along the Los Angeles County aqueduct was cool. It did heat up in the afternoon at which time I became more delusional than normal. Thank God I brought a Mountain Dew for survival purposes.
