#thinklikeahorse #ItIsNeverTheHorsesFault http://www.thinklikeahorse.org/ I started filming this to show Buddy, a lower horse, trying to take the lead. You will see Buddy trying to be fast, flashy and trying to grab Mr T (higher horse) attention. This type of behavior will happen when you are riding with other horses. Horses will feed off each other and will be constantly talking and communicating when together. If you are not aware of this talk you may label it as stubborn, spooky, agitated, not listening or other things. However, if you are aware of what they are doing, then you can react accordingly and give better direction with better timing and control. If a horse knows he has to listen to you, he will. If he gets better communication from another horse, that speaks his language, then he will listen to that since he can understand that and NOT understand you. Mr. T wanted to listen and follow Buddy, part for being a herd animal, part for them being buddies, part because I was trying to film and not giving good clear directions. Horses listen when they know they have to and when they get good clear directions, if either of those are missing, horses do what horses do. It always comes back to YOU. If you do good, your horse does good. All the people complaining about bad horses are really telling that they are bad riders or leaders, they don't know it, but at least you will know it. This video was not what I wanted, but I decided to post in case someone may see something in their communication or maybe recognize some of their behavior in their horses and it may help.
