These 8 features of ratchets and sockets are what you need to know to make the best buying and tools use decisions. This video will help anyone unfamiliar with ratchets (wrenches) and sockets be more effective. And, any of you experienced DIY people, hobbyists, professional mechanics, farmers, and other experienced people hopefully you find some entertainment or can share comments of your added experience and knowledge to help others. Below is the Amazon Affiliate link I referred to for the Hansen Socket Trays: https://amzn.to/3YbLEkr Below are Amazon Affiliate links to some socket sets that are very universal in nature, providing what I consider to be a very 'full' size range. Added these to support a user who asked a good question about 'master' size charts......which are tricky because it really depends upon what you're using them for. As a home owner, I think a set with 1/4" and 3/8" drive (and the normal range of sockets that come with such as up to 9/16" and/or 15mm will almost always be sufficient. If you want to do more work in your garage on things like cars, lawn mowers, etc, a 1/2" drive will usually be necessary to provide sizes up to 15/16" (or larger) and/or 24mm. Remember, along with a ratchet/socket, you normally need a wrench to 'back up' the opposite end of the nut/bolt combination to loosen or tigheten. These first two sets provide a nice broad range for a homeowner application. *https://amzn.to/4ck4eMF (broad range homeowner set with wide selection of metric and imperial with 1/4" and 3/8" drives) *https://amzn.to/3R21KZJ (expanded homeowner set over the one above, with some 1/2" drive) These next (3) set provide expanded range beyond the combination sets above, especially the 1/2" drive set, but most of those larger 1/2" drive sizes are more for a vehicle/shop/garage type applications. *https://amzn.to/4jjyE3N (1/4" drive set) *https://amzn.to/3DU7lhO (3/8" drive set) *https://amzn.to/3E9OXS0 (1/2" drives set) Audio/music credit to Yenibi for the use of of 'Good Days' (free use via CapCut) #howto #tools #learning #mechanic #diy #lifelessons Disclaimer: of course, this video is for entertainment purposes only........you are responsible for any and all of your own actions......not me. Disappointing we have to say things like this in today's world, but here we are. Stay curious, friends.
