MUMBAI: The launch of the Mumbai Press Club book ‘Covid Through the Lens and to honour the winners of the Covid Photo Contest’, the event was held at the Press Club's terrace area on Tuesday, 22 March, 2022. Maharashtra Sports Minister Sunil Kedar and Shyamala V, Chief Legal Officer of Zee Entertainment, have chief guests for the evening and give away the award and launch the book. As you are aware, the Mumbai Press Club has put together a photographic compilation, in a book form, of the best photographs drawn from all over the country that represent the tragedy and challenges of the last two years. The images that have been included reveal the people and communities' grief and resilience in the battle against the Corona pandemic from March 2020 onwards. A three-member jury comprising Prashant Panjiar, award-winning photojournalist, Dinesh Krishnan photo-editor of The Hindu, and Ashima Narain, photographer and filmmaker, representing National Geographic Image Collection, selected the winning pictures.
