On a day trip from Reims, we decided to take a tour of one of the many Champagne factories dotted across the region. The house, founded in 1858, produces both vintage and non-vintage cuvee. Mercier owned the original rights to the name Dom Perignon but sold the brand to Moët et Chandon in 1930.
