What are the Apocryphal (or ‘Deutero-Canonical’) books? Where did they come from? Why aren’t they in every Bible? Even if one is not Roman Catholic, Orthodox, Slavonic, or Coptic, it is still important to read and understand the world of 2nd Temple Judaism…because it was the world into which the Gospel was first proclaimed!
