From the album : Miles Davis, Nefertiti **Please, Everyone... Don't sprain a drumstick over this. It is NOT actually isolated. It was not my intention for this to be click-bait. On many old Jazz recordings the drums are only in one speaker (panned to the right or left side only)... So, the audio here is from the right speaker only... as Tony was only in the right speaker. I cut out the left side and then panned the right side only back to the middle. So, it's now in Mono (or the right side in both speakers). As a result, the piano, bass and sax are much quieter and this allows you to hear Tony's playing better.... as he is now much more isolated than before. It doesn't really make sense for the Title of the Video to be "Nefertiti - Right Speaker Only" or "Nefertiti - Now, 30% More Isolated". It was worth it to me to go to the trouble to make the tracks like this so that I could hear Tony's playing better and enjoy them.... and since I made them, I uploaded them here thinking that other people might enjoy them, too. If you go back and listen to the original track and compare, I think you will find that you can hear Tony's playing much clearer this way. If you're upset that it's not a truly isolated track, I'm sorry... I wasn't trying to upset people. I was sincerely trying to share my love for Tony's playing with others. I hope you enjoy it. If you know how to truly isolate Tony's drumming, please post it here on YouTube for me to enjoy. Thanks : ) This video is for EDUCATIONAL USE ONLY and NOT for PROFIT. I DO NOT own the rights to this music. It's intended for studying and enjoying the drumming of Tony Williams.
