ECWCS on a Budget! | Lightfighter Cold Weather Field Clothing

What is up Lightfighters! You don't have to spend hundreds of dollars on technical gear to operate in the cold! Milsurp gear is often great but unless it is actual surplus is often still carries a steep price tag! As well, there are tons of expensive gear companies that are experts at separating us from our hard earned money! I've been doing some shopping at Americas favorite whole sale club and I have found some excellent gear that when layered properly can make an excellent ECWCS system! Most of these articles of clothing can be found for less than $20 and sometimes in a two or three pack. Generally always available in good earth tones. Some of the items I have may be discontinued, but just follow the general layering theory and you can easily make your own system. Don't cheap out on good boots! And consider spending a little extra on gloves (and a backup pair) as well! As always stay safe in the cold and keep in mind, SOFTWARE over HARDWARE! What you know is more important than what you have!
