In return for acting as mater of ceremonies at a friend’s wedding, Jun-yeong gets introduced to Yeon-hee. Jun-yeong is intellectual and suave, and teaches at a university. He believes in love, but not in marriage. Yeon-hee is a sexy, confident lamp designer. On their first date, they converse on trivial subjects. They move to a bar to have a drink. They talk about how late-night taxis will probably cost more than renting a room at a motel. They head straight to a motel, where they have sex that is as unreserved as their conversation. They start dating each other, but with different things in mind. Yeon-hee who wanted to marry a man with a good background, yet keep her affair going with Jun-yeong.
