We paddled from Esko to Thomson (4.7 Miles) while the water was high during some spring flooding. The river is often unrunnable, but we made it through in rapids up to class 3. If you like small rivers, this is a nice paddle. The river contains some fun class 3 rapids, and we will do it again. However, the St. Louis River from Scanlon to Thomson is more fun and it's in virtually the same place.
