In this video, We are travelling around Kuppalli and Sringeri, Kuppalli is famously known for Rashtrakavi Kuppali Venkatappa Puttappa, popularly known by his pen name Kuvempu (ಕುವೆಂಪು), We will be visiting K P Poornachandra Tejaswi Memorial and of Sringeri temple Kuppali Puttappa Poornachandra Tejaswi (8 September 1938 – 5 April 2007, was a prominent Kannada writer, novelist, photographer, publisher, painter, naturalist, and environmentalist who made a great impression in the "Navya" period of Kannada Literature and inaugurated the Bandaaya ("Protest Literature") with his short-story collection Abachoorina Post Office. He is the son of 'Rashtrakavi KUVEMPU. Being a multifaceted personality, his versatility gained him a unique place in the hearts of his fans. Shringeri is a hill town and Taluk headquarters located in the Chikkamagaluru district in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is the site of the first maṭha (Dakshinamnaya Sringeri Sharada Peetham) established by Adi Shankara, Hindu theologian and exponent of the Advaita Vedanta philosophy, in the 8th century CE. Located on the banks of the river Tungā, the town draws a large number of pilgrims to its temples of Sri Sharadamba, Sri Vidyashankara, Sri Malahanikareshvara and other deities. In this video, We are travelling from Hubballi to Kuppalli, Kuppalli is famously known for Rashtrakavi Kuppali Venkatappa Puttappa, popularly known by his pen name Kuvempu (ಕುವೆಂಪು), We will be travelling to Kavimane and Kavishaila of Kuppali. Kavi Shaila is a memorial built for the legendary Kannada poet/writer Kuvempu. It is located in the Kuppalli village of Thirthahalli taluk, Shimoga district. Kavi Shaila is a rock memorial dedicated to Kuvempu built after his death. The monument is constructed such that the huge rocks have been placed in a circle very similar to Stonehenge. His body was laid to rest at the centre of this rock monument after his death. The place is so peaceful that Kuvempu used to come, meditate, and write his works here.
