Enduring Activity: 2021 Pediatric Grand Rounds “Biology and Treatment of Rhabdomyosarcoma: Lessons from the Children’s Oncology Group” Target Audience This activity is targeted toward all general pediatric physicians and pediatric subspecialists in the community. Statement of Need Pediatric grand rounds provide physicians a continuous update on emerging trends in caring for the pediatric patient, including new scientific discoveries that provide the underpinning of current pediatric practice. This activity will inform physicians about other issues involving professionalism, socioeconomic issues, and topics related to the ACMGE core competencies. Objectives At the conclusion of this offering, the participant will be able to: 1. Describe clinical and molecular features are used to guide risk-adapted therapy for rhabdomyosarcoma. 2. Describe the standard chemotherapy approaches used to treat rhabdomyosarcoma. 3. Describe the strategies used to identify novel agents to incorporate into rhabdomyosarcoma clinical trials.
