“Symphony of Peace” Last year while going through a very costly season that felt like the absence of peace, I stepped onto a co-write with my producer/dear friend Sam Hart and a gifted artist with Capitol Records named Temitope. Within moments it was clear that we were kindred and shared a deep heart for reconciliation, and after 3 hours we all stepped back, amazed at this tender healing anthem that had just been birthed called “Symphony of Peace.” In a time of such evident division in our culture, and after walking through my own sacred reconciliation journey on the 100 year of the Armenian genocide in Turkey as an Armenian, and Temitope’s heart for reconciliation being African American who’s dad is from Nigeria, it was such an honor to feel as though God was writing a healing prayer through us that may inspire many others strive to live as peacemakers, and thus appropriately reflect our Lord and prove we are truly “children of God” (Matthew 5:9). And then adding a beautifully diverse choir of our own Psalmist Mission graduates that we assembled from our first 4 years of mentoring in our worship cohorts in California, the song seems to speak of healing, growth and unity down to its very core.
