Peter Reid Peter Reid is a former professional triathlete from Canada, well-known for his remarkable performances throughout his triathlon career. He is well-known for winning ten Ironman Triathlon races, including three Ironman Championships, giving him the record for most Ironman races ever won. 9. Simon Whitfield Simon Whitfield is a retired Canadian Olympic triathlete well-known for his accomplishments and for being the happiest and cheeriest competitor on the starting line. He has won 11 ITU World Cups in all. In addition, he was the first triathlon to win a Commonwealth Games gold medal and compete in four. 8. Allister Brownlee Even though this two-time Olympic gold winner (2012, 2016) has been sidelined for much of the 2019 season due to injury, he still deserves to be on our list. Allister stepped outside of the Olympic distance after reaching 30 years old in 2018 and excelled in various events and distances.
