99th Birthday Special - 140th edition of Samarpan, Talk by Brother Ajnish Rai at Dharmakshetra, on Sunday 24th November 2024. Brother Ajnish Viswa Ral was introduced to Swami through his grandfather, who was involved in the Sai movement way back in the 1960s and 1970s. Brother Ajnish had the first darshan of Bhagawan when he joined Swami's Higher Secondary School at Prasanthi Nilayam in 1989 for his 11th grade. Post-school, he went on to join the SSSIHL Brindavan campus for his B.Sc. (biosciences) during the years 1991-94, followed by an M.Sc. (life sciences) from the Prasanthi Nilayam campus from 1994-96. During his student days, Ajnish was blessed to be an active member of the Prasanthi Bhajan Group, singing bhajans, songs, qawwalis, etc. in the direct Divine Presence of our Beloved Bhagawan. He was also handpicked by Swami to be part of the divine entourage to Kodai Kanal during the summers of 1993. Post graduation from SSSIHL, Brother Ajnish began his professional journey in music in the rich traditions of Hindustani classical vocal and ghazal singing, under the esteemed tutelage of Ustad Dayal Thakur of the Patiala Gharana in Mumbai. Some of his notable works include the Living God Series, Maa Sai, O Sai Maa, Sai Bin Raha Na Jaye, Pyare Sai Hamare, Satya Narayanan Sai (2010 birthday album), and Ramakatha (The Story of Hanuman), to name a few. In addition to his performing career, Ajnish has also established a music studio where he continues to produce and refine his work. He is married to Meghna, a singer who was a Bal Vikas Guru and is now a Samithi Bhajan Coordinator at Darjeeling. He now has many albums to his credit, spreading joy to all through his golden voice.
