#Twiggy #lff2024 #SadieFrost FEATURING such well-known names as Dustin Hoffman, Sienna Miller and Stella McCartney, documentary maker Sadie Frost turns her attention to 1960s British breakthrough model, actor, performer and presenter, Twiggy. This is a documentary about one of the most famous women in British social history - known by a single moniker, Twiggy, she helped to define a period when Britain virtually ruled the world of fashion and music (in the 1960s)… As a model initially, she broke through unexpectedly and then went onto to create a look that worked internationally - becoming the face of Britain on billboards and fashion magazines, globally. As well as being a cultural icon, she has starred in films, been on TV and also acted on Broadway and has been a judge on reality TV shows covering the world of fashion and beauty. Sadie Frost's previous documentary about another British (fashion) icon Mary Quant (1930-2023), made in 2021, was a critical success. Frost too started out as an actor before moving into producing, fashion designing and now directing. This documentary will be one of the hot tickets at this year’s London Film Festival 2024 (October 9-20).
