Strip Mall Demolished After Massive Fire Destroys It, Huntington Park, CA

LACoFD Arson Investigators and LA County Sheriff’s Officials Say the fire was started intentionally and they are looking for two suspects. 3 businesses were destroyed in a huge commercial fire early Sunday morning. The bulk of the fire started in the middle of the structure at a business called “Luna De Miel” and spread to the adjacent businesses. The whole building is destroyed. No injuries are reported at this time. The fire is almost 1 hr old and still burning. An excavator has been requested to knock down the building as it has already collapsed in various areas. Pacific Blvd will be closed to traffic from California St to Saturn Ave and the intersection of Florence Ave and Pacific Blvd in all directions. All the walls within the structure have collapsed. Search and rescue arrived. One of the businesses a mexican natural medicine pharmacy had just opened for business was destroyed. Excavator has almost fully knocked down the whole structure.
