In this video, I dig into HackerBox 0114: WOPR, which pays homage to the iconic blinking lights of 1983’s WarGames. This box has two separate projects packed inside: 🟥 First up, I build a WOPR-style LED matrix display using four 8x32 MAX7219 modules piggybacked together and driven by a tiny ESP32 Super Mini. I show you how to wire it up, upload the code, and get that glorious “would you like to play a game?” vibe on your bench or server rack. 🟦 Then we shift gears and fire up the included ESP32-S3 board with built-in display. I walk through some sample projects and demos, including a peek at the Marauder firmware for wireless exploration. 💾 Plus: 3D-printed mounting options, nods to the golden age of phreaking, and tips for customizing both builds. 🎁 Giveaway time!
