The Chilterns New Shoots is a programme designed to help young nature enthusiasts find out about how to identify plants and animals and how best to look after the landscape to give nature its best chance to flourish into the future. Now coming to the end of its first year, this video shows a snapshot of how 16 inspirational young people have had their first taste of conservation in the Chilterns, and it’s been an action packed and eventful year! Chalk, Cherries and Chairs was a Landscape Partnership Scheme which ran from April 2019 till November 2024. It was primarily funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, HS2 Community & Environment Fund, as well as a whole host of other match funders.
