Maintaining strong core muscles is important for both prevention and recovery; regular yoga and physical fitness activities help improve overall abdominal strength and flexibility, which can reduce hernia risk and support healing after treatment. If a hernia causes discomfort, persistent bulging, or restricts daily movement, surgical repair may be recommended. Surgical treatment involves closing or reinforcing the weakened muscle wall through minimally invasive laparoscopic or traditional open methods, depending on hernia type and severity.
