The Museum of Goa (MOG) is a contemporary art gallery situated in Pilerne Industrial Estate, which is approx 25 km from Mapusa & approx 7 km from Panjim and close to Calangute in Goa, India. It is a privately owned museum It was established in 2015 and is around 1,500 square metres. There isn't a permanent collection of it. Subodh Kerkar, a Goan artist, started it. Numerous exhibitions, art classes, plays, residencies, workshops, book readings, seminars, screenings, and talks are arranged by the museum. More than two decades ago, when the government was attempting to attract people to establish companies in the region, Kerkar bought this land. He later made the decision to open the museum after receiving a notification from the government that his land was underutilized. He got INR 3.5 crore for selling another plot of land, and this money went towards building the museum. Designed by Dean D'Cruz, the three-story gallery building was finished in 2015 at the location of Kerkar's previous studio. There is a sculpture garden at the location. "Love" is the translation of the Konkani word "mog," which stands for the museum.
