In this video, I was fortunate enough to be able to play-along to a song written by Drumeo's audio engineer and production coordinator, Victor Guidera. Victor spent some time in the middle east and became a fan of the music and different instrumentation. . The song was originally written to not have a drum track. One of our Drumeo students requested I teach a lesson on how to write drums for a song that doesn't currently have drums. That would be over an hour lesson, so rather than teach that I thought I would demonstrate how easy and fun it can be. . Also, another request was to play something using the rims of the drums...
