If your tight on outdoor space or you just want to green up your indoor space. If you want fresh herbs at your fingertips and avoid the cost of shop bought bunches then why not bring a sunny windowsill to life with potted herbs. Softer herbs like parsley, annual basil, coriander and mint are top choices for an indoor herb party because with regular picking you can keep them nice and compact and they’ll be happy in a small pot. The woody herbs like rosemary or big growers like xx are best left for the garden or big pots outdoors. Rather than buy a whole punnet of each herb and have lots leftover look at for these multi-packs with one of each variety. If you’re working with young seedlings simply pop your plant babies into their own pot with a good quality potting mix. If you’re planting directly into the pot just make sure that it has a drainage hole at the bottom and a saucer underneath. Or you could buy more advanced plants and sit the herb - container and all - inside a decorative indoor pot or cache pot like this. Because these pots don’t have drainage holes always lift the herb pot out first to water it, let it drain, then pop it back. Never water directly into a cache pot because it will fill with water and drown your plants. Individual pots work well because you can give each herb exactly what it needs. If you’re planting them all together in one container, be sure to pair plants together with similar growing needs. Now to really get this herb party started – you’ll need to give them a good feed. Indoor feeding can be a messy business unless you get your hands on the right product for the job like PowerFeed Indoor & Potted Plants. It’s a Ready to use liquid fertiliser & soil conditioner designed for just this style of planting. So it boosts growth and vigour your herbs - which means lots of fresh leafy growth to flavour your dishes. And the active liquid composts create a healthy living soil environment for your plants to flourish in. So green up your windowsill and bring some homegrown flavour into to your life with tasty herbs. Liked this video? Please give it a thumbs up and don't forget to subscribe.
