When Mary of Bethany broke her alabaster box and poured the costly perfume on Jesus, the disciples called it waste. But when the box was broken, the fragrance filled the whole house. In Matthew 5:23–24, Jesus teaches something deeper than most believers realize. It’s not just about asking forgiveness when you offend someone — it’s about going to forgive those who have something against you. Paul urges us in Ephesians 4:3 to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. That unity requires brokenness. It requires surrendering pride, releasing offenses, and pouring out forgiveness at your own expense. This message reveals: Why the alabaster box had to be broken How blessing dies when it is not poured out The deeper meaning of reconciliation Why unity in the body of Christ is supernatural What it truly means to be one body (1 Corinthians 12:27) The body of Christ is not limited to one denomination, one group, or one circle. There is one body, one Spirit, one hope. And that body is held together by a bond of peace that only forgiveness can maintain. If you want fresh fire, fresh anointing, and fresh unity, something precious in you must be broken.
