A Guide to Recording Income and Expenses with Tax App Australia

Hi, this is Fahad from Tax App, and today I'm excited to guide you through the seamless process of recording your income and expenses on our platform. By doing so, you'll not only be able to generate a comprehensive profit and loss statement but also obtain the necessary GST figures for your BAS filings. To get started, log in to Tax App. Click on "Records" in the ribbon below and then select the "Bookkeeping" button. You'll be directed to a screen displaying your dashboard, which may be empty initially as no transactions have been entered. For income recording, simply click on "Add Income Transaction" and select the prominent plus sign. Enter your income details, attach the invoice for safekeeping, and choose the appropriate GST option for your business. Your income has now been successfully added, and you can readily view the updated dashboard. To record expenses, follow a similar process by clicking on "Add Expense." Our app also features a convenient receipt and invoice scan feature, automatically updating details when you take a picture of your receipts. For a quick glance at your profit and loss statement, click the corresponding button on the dashboard. You can further tailor the view by editing the start and end dates to see totals for a specific period. To generate a GST report, find the appropriate button on the dashboard. There you have it! Tax App makes record-keeping a breeze.
