Kia Sonet Variants Explained: In this video, we review Sonet’s variants to find out which variant makes the most sense for buyers in terms of the value it offers for the money you pay. Watch the video to find out which variant of the Sonet suits your needs best. The Sonet is 3995mm long, 1790mm wide and 1642mm tall. Bigger exterior dimensions give a car a stronger road presence. The Sonet has a 2500mm long wheelbase. A long wheelbase makes the car more stable at high speeds and gives better legroom in the back seat, while a shorter wheelbase makes the car more agile. The Kia Sonet has a fuel tank capacity of 45 litres and a boot space measuring 385 litres. The Sonet has a ground clearance of 205mm. The tyre size of the Sonet base model is 195/65 R15 and the top model rides on 215/60 R16 tyres. The Kia Sonet is available with 3 engine options: a 1.0L turbo Petrol, a 1.2L naturally aspirated Petrol and a 1.5L turbo Diesel. The 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol churns out 83PS of power at 6000rpm and 115Nm of torque at 4200rpm. The 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine gets a 5-speed manual transmission. The 1.0L turbo petrol is rated to deliver 120PS of power at 6000rpm and 172Nm of torque between 1500 and 4000rpm. You can get the 1.0L turbo petrol engine of the Sonet with a 6-speed MT Manual and a 7-speed DCT Automatic. The 1.5L turbo Diesel makes 116PS of power at 4000rpm and 250Nm of torque between 1500 and 2750rpm. This engine is available with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed TC.
